Consumer Reports test results find iPhone 6 and 6 Plus not as bendy as believed

Consumer Reports

All the phones we tested showed themselves to be pretty tough. The iPhone 6 Plus, the more robust of the new iPhones in our testing, started to deform when we reached 90 pounds of force, and came apart with 110 pounds of force. With those numbers, it slightly outperformed the HTC One (which is largely regarded as a sturdy, solid phone), as well as the smaller iPhone 6, yet…

Where did your iOS 8 Camera Roll go?

iDownloadBlog:

So, where did your Camera Roll go and is there anything sensible to be done about it?

Just to clear up any confusion, all your on-device photos are safe and sound and didn’t go anywhere after upgrading to iOS 8— they’re simply spread out in different locations.

WILL THE APPLE WATCH BE A HIT?

WILL THE APPLE WATCH BE A HIT?

LET’S LOOK AT WHAT CRITICS SAID ABOUT APPLE’S BIG LAUNCHES IN THE PAST

It’s funny when looking back how many cried epic fail for Apple products that went on to sell millions. This just reminds me of movie critics slamming the number one flick that breaks all kinds of records.

Inside Apple’s Live Event Stream Failure, And Why It Happened

Inside Apple’s Live Event Stream Failure, And Why It Happened

StreamingMediaBlog:

Apple’s live stream of the unveiling of the iPhone 6 and Watch was a disaster today right from the start, with many users like myself having problems trying to watch the event. The Galaxy Alpha is Samsung’s most beautiful phone ever (Really The Verge?)

The Galaxy Alpha is Samsung’s most beautiful phone ever (Really The Verge?)

The Verge:

This is what smart, efficient design looks like

Let me fix the headline and the subtitle for you The Verge:

The Galaxy Alpha is Samsung’s latest attempt to copy Apple’s design.

This is what smart, efficient design made by Jonathan Ive at Apple looks like when copied by the Xerox of smartphone companies.

If copying is the most sincerest form of flattery, I think Apple is overwhelmed at…

iCloud vulnerability leading to naked celebrities photos leak patched by Apple.

The Next Web:

Users on Twitter were able to use the tool from Github — which was published for two days before being shared to Hacker News — to access their own accounts before it seems Apple patched the hole today. The owner of the tool noticed it was patched at 3:20am PT.

Sad to see this happen to all involved, but really, it’s 2014 and people should know better. If you don’t want any of your…

This is one awesome Dad.

Geek Tyrant

Check out this amazing Boba Fett costume created by a dad for his six-year-old son. The costume is a replication of the Lego Boba Fett that was featured in the 9496 Desert Skiff LEGO set.

This kid has a very talented and loving father, who put a lot of effort and talent on this costume.
